Drawing on decades of Cervélo aerodynamic expertise, the latest Áspero-5 is significantly faster than the previous generation while also reducing overall frame weight. Aero shaping throughout the frame and cockpit helps reduce drag without sacrificing the confident handling needed for demanding gravel terrain. Its lightweight carbon frame combines responsive power transfer with enough compliance to stay composed over rough surfaces, washboard gravel and broken back roads. Cervélo has refined the geometry to balance stability and agility, delivering confident control on technical descents while still feeling sharp and responsive when accelerating or attacking climbs.Tyre clearance for up to 45mm rubber gives plenty of flexibility for different riding styles and terrain. Whether you prioritise speed for racing or additional grip and comfort for longer adventures, the Áspero-5 can easily be adapted to suit the ride. Cervélo has also optimised the geometry for mixed tyre sizing setups to further improve aerodynamics and sharpen handling on faster courses.Shimano’s GRX RX825 Di2 groupset delivers fast, precise electronic shifting in all conditions. The 1x setup keeps the drivetrain simple and secure for rough terrain, while the wide-range Shimano XTR 10-51T cassette provides climbing gears for steep gradients alongside enough top-end speed for fast gravel sectors and road transitions.Hydraulic disc brakes with Shimano CL800 rotors offer dependable braking control in wet weather, loose gravel and technical descents. Vittoria Corsa Pro Control TLR 42c tyres add grip, rolling speed and improved durability across mixed surfaces.Practical features are fully integrated into the frame design. The downtube storage compartment provides space for tools, tubes and ride essentials while keeping them protected from the elements and out of the wind. Internal cable routing maintains the bike’s clean aerodynamic profile, while the T47 threaded bottom bracket improves long-term durability and ease of servicing. At just over 8kg, the Áspero-5 delivers an impressively lightweight package for a gravel race bike with this level of aerodynamic optimisation and tyre clearance. It’s designed for riders who want a fast, modern gravel machine that thrives when the pace picks up.
