The Shimano 105 R7000 derailleur has eliminated the lever arm that allowed to climb with plate efficiency and in this Shimano version based on high-end components, has made a derailleur with optimized gears, improving the pull of the cable so that less lever is needed when making plate changes. It adapts the design and the geometry to be able to install it on road bikes with disc brakes and for wider balloon covers even on some 28 mm wheels.

This derailleur has a much shorter travel, so it reduces the effort we must make to divert the chain of the plate.
