Engineered to deliver race-ready performance with impressive climbing speed and handling precision, it’s built for riders who demand lightweight efficiency without the price of carbon. At the heart of the bike is Giant’s ALUXX SLR-grade aluminium frame — the lightest alloy hardtail frame the brand has ever produced. Through advanced alloy forming and butting techniques, it offers exceptional stiffness-to-weight performance, translating every pedal stroke into instant acceleration. The geometry is finely tuned for XC racing, combining agile handling with stable control for fast climbs, quick direction changes, and confident descending on rough terrain.Up front, the Giant Crest 34 RRL fork delivers 100mm of smooth, air-sprung travel with a remote lockout, so you can adjust on the fly between climbing efficiency and full descending control. It keeps your front wheel tracking accurately through roots and rocks, maintaining speed and stability across challenging terrain. The drivetrain features Shimano’s SLX 12-speed groupset, offering crisp, reliable shifting and a wide 10–51T cassette for conquering steep climbs and accelerating on fast flats. Braking comes from Shimano BR-MT500 hydraulic discs paired with RT-10 rotors for strong, consistent stopping power in all conditions.Rolling on lightweight Giant XCT 29” wheels, the XTC SLR 29 1 takes full advantage of the 29er platform — offering smooth rolling, better traction, and improved stability over rough terrain. The Maxxis Recon Race 29x2.4” tyres, set up tubeless-ready, deliver low rolling resistance and excellent grip for both racing and everyday trail riding. The Giant Contact Switch dropper post adds modern trail capability, allowing you to lower your saddle instantly for descents or technical features. Finishing touches like the Giant ErgoContact Trail saddle and a clean cockpit layout ensure comfort and control on every ride. From local XC circuits to marathon trail rides, the Giant XTC SLR 29 1 offers a perfect balance of lightweight efficiency, stiffness, and control — a hardtail built to go fast, climb efficiently, and handle technical terrain with ease.
