"Ridgeback MX14" Kids Bike - 2026" - Polly Pink

The Ridgeback MX14" Kids Bike - 2026 is a compact, stable children's bike built for easy pedalling, safe control, and steady confidence from the first ride. Its lightweight frame, lowered design, and child-specific contact points support balance and control. Easy-pedal cranks are sized to match shorter legs, helping maintain a smooth and natural pedalling motion. Adjustable brakes and smaller grips improve control, while a steering limiter helps prevent sudden oversteer during early riding stages.Key Features and Benefits:Easy-Pedal Cranks sized for shorter legs: The crank length and pedal position are scaled to suit a child's proportions and placed closer to the bike's centre. This improves pedalling efficiency and keeps the motion smooth and controlled, helping maintain balance and reducing early fatigue during riding.Smaller diameter grips and narrow handlebars: The reduced grip size matches smaller hands and improves hold on the bars. This increases control over steering inputs and allows easier access to the brake levers, leading to safer handling and more consistent braking.Adjustable brake levers with reduced reach: Brake levers sit closer to the handlebar and can be fine-tuned for hand size. This ensures braking force can be applied with less effort, improving stopping control and helping build confidence when slowing or stopping.Lowered frame design for easy access: The frame is shaped lower through the top tube area, making it easier to get on and off. This increases clearance and stability, reducing the risk of falls and helping maintain control during starts and stops.Steering limiter for controlled turning: A built-in limit stop restricts excessive handlebar rotation. This prevents sudden oversteer when learning to pedal and steer together, helping keep the bike stable and reducing the chance of tipping over.Early riding progression depends on control, comfort, and predictable handling. The MX14 supports this with geometry that keeps the rider stable, controls that match hand size, and pedalling that feels natural from the start. The chain case reduces maintenance and keeps moving parts covered, while grippy tyres add traction on varied surfaces. Each element works together to support steady progress without unnecessary complexity. The MX14 provides a stable and easy-to-manage platform for early riders. Its child-specific design supports smoother pedalling, safer braking, and controlled steering, making it a practical choice for building skills from day one.Size Guide: Height - 90cm to 102cm / Age 2.5 to 4 Years
