MET Shelter Youth Helmet - Red

MET Shelter Youth Helmet is a lightweight trail helmet built for younger mountain bike riders who want comfort, fit and solid head protection. Its in-mould shell, extended rear coverage and internal air channels give strong impact protection while keeping weight low. The 360° head belt and Safe-T Sport system provide a snug, easy fit for heads 52-56 cm. Twelve vents keep airflow steady without cold spots, and the integrated visor adds coverage without extra length. Sunglasses ports and a rear LED light mount give practical storage and visibility for rides, stops and climbs.Key Features and Benefits:In-mould polycarbonate shell with EPS liner: The bonded polycarbonate outer shell and EPS foam absorb impact forces across a larger surface. This spreads energy away from one point and lowers peak forces. The result is a tougher, safer helmet that stays light enough for longer rides without neck strain.Extended back head coverage: Extra coverage at the rear protects the lower skull, a common strike zone in off-road falls. This increases protection for a larger area and reduces exposure in a crash. The outcome is more head support and a lower risk of injury if a rider lands backwards.Safe-T Sport 360° fit system with pressure-free belt: The 360° belt encircles the head, adjusting evenly instead of tightening at one spot. This removes pressure points and prevents gaps. The result is a stable helmet that does not shift on rough ground or sudden direction changes.12 vents + engineered internal air channelling: Air channels run inside the foam to guide cool air in and warm air out at speed. This avoids overheating and stops sweat build-up. The outcome is controlled airflow that keeps riders cooler, drier and focused on the trail.Sunglasses ports for secure docking: Dedicated side channels grip arm tips, holding glasses without pressure on the head. This keeps eyewear safe during breaks or climbs. The result is fewer drops, scratches or lost glasses mid-ride.Rear LED light compatibility: A moulded mounting point fits MET's USB rear light for extra visibility. This boosts passive safety when light fades or trails mix with traffic. The outcome is better presence for others and safer late-day rides.
