MET Shelter Youth MIPS Helmet - Lilac

The MET Shelter Youth MIPS Helmet is a mountain bike helmet built for riders aged roughly 10-15 who ride trails or e-MTB. It offers solid comfort, high airflow, and deep head coverage, with added MIPS rotational safety for angled impacts.Key Features and Benefits:In-mould polycarbonate shell bonded to EPS: The hard outer and foam liner are moulded as one piece. This lowers weight, spreads impact force, and makes the helmet stronger over time. The result is a helmet that feels light on the head, stays tough through regular use, and protects better if it hits the ground.MIPS Brain Protection System: A low-friction layer inside can shift a few millimetres on impact. This helps cut the twisting force that can reach the brain during crashes from an angle. The outcome is added protection against rotational motion, which improves safety during common off-road fall types.Extended rear head coverage: The shell covers more of the lower back of the head. This shields the most exposed area in trail crashes. The result is better defence for vulnerable zones without needing extra add-ons.Safe-T Sport 360° fit belt: A full wrap internal belt with easy micro-adjust dial holds the helmet evenly. It avoids focused pressure, keeps the helmet stable on rough ground, and lets young riders fine-tune fit as they grow. The outcome is longer comfort, fewer movement shifts, and a fit that can change with head size.12 vents with engineered internal air channels: Open vents and hidden channels pull cool air in, move it across the scalp, and push warm air out. This lowers heat, dries sweat faster, and keeps rides longer before discomfort hits. The result is steady cooling on climbs and trail loops.Sunglasses ports: Dedicated slots grip sunglasses arms when not worn. This prevents drops when climbing or pausing. The outcome is secure storage without needing a pouch.Trail helmets must do more than sit on the head. They need to feel easy to wear for hours, stay in place on fast segments, and protect from the impact types most likely to happen off-road. MIPS, rear coverage, and full-wrap fit work together to manage these demands. The overall package gives young riders a simple, stable, cool helmet they can rely on in changing trail conditions. This helmet is built to last beyond the first season. The shell and fit range cover growth from 52-56cm, and rear USB LED compatibility(not included) adds visibility for rides that stretch into low light. It's a clear choice for riders who want proper trail design, safe fit, and proven impact tech in one practical build. The next ride feels better when the helmet fits without fuss and keeps airflow high. This is the kind of helmet that quietly checks every box. Easy sizing, quick tuning, and added rotational safety mean less time adjusting and more time riding. It's ready whenever the next trail day comes.Specification:In-mould polycarbonate shell with EPS linerMIPS rotational management system engineered to add protection in the event of certain impactsExtended back head coverageIntegrated visor designSafe-T Sport fit system360° head belt avoids any pressure points on the perimeter of the head12 vents work in concert with an internal, engineered air channelling system to improve ventilation and comfort Sunglasses ports to securely dock sunglasses when climbing or restingCompatible with MET Rear USB Led LightCertifications: CE, AZ/NZS, USSize: Youth Uni-Size: 52-56cm
