UK clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, and from then most commutes and after-work rides happen in the dark. Lights are worth buying before Black Friday if you need them now, then again in the sale for a spare set.

These rarely make the headlines, but they are where a small Black Friday budget goes furthest.
Locks. Buy the lock your bike and postcode deserve, not the one with the biggest percentage off. A heavier D-lock with a good security rating is worth more than a cheap cable lock at any discount. See lock deals and our best bike locks for the money.
Pumps. A track pump for home and a mini pump or CO2 inflator for the road. Digital gauges are handy if you run tubeless or wider tyres at lower pressures. Browse pumps.
Tools. A decent multi-tool with a chain breaker, tyre levers and a small torque key will cover most roadside fixes and plenty of home jobs. Browse tools.

Tyres and wheelsets discount well and compatibility is easy to confirm before you buy. Wheels over £100 only, so single spares and small parts drop out.

Accessories are easy to buy on impulse. Two minutes on the spec saves a return.
Check it carries EN 1078, the standard for bike helmets sold in the UK and Europe. MIPS or a similar rotational system is worth having. Fit matters more than features, so measure your head and check the brand’s size range.
The headline lumen figure is usually the brightest mode, which runs for the shortest time. Check how long the mode you will actually use lasts, and whether it charges by USB-C.
Sold Secure rates locks Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. If your bike is insured, check which rating your insurer requires before you buy.
Some listings price a single tyre, others a pair. Check before you compare, and confirm the width fits your frame and the tyre suits your rims, especially for tubeless.
Match the freehub to your cassette (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, Microspline), the brake type (rim or disc, Centerlock or 6-bolt) and the axle standard of your frame and fork.
The previous generation of a bike computer is often the bigger saving and does most of the same job. Check the features you will actually use, not the spec sheet.
Retailers have not announced 2026 Black Friday accessory offers yet (checked 6 October). Last year gives a good idea of the pattern. These are past prices, not current offers:
Interest in Garmin computers started building around 30 October and peaked on Black Friday itself. Percentages on electronics were modest, but they moved fast. For help choosing, see the best bike computers for the money and best bike lights for the money.
Accessories make the best presents: lights, tools, pumps and a good pair of tyres are things riders actually use. Black Friday is the cheapest time to get your Christmas shopping done.
Black Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Accessory offers often start earlier and run into December. Retailers have not announced 2026 dates yet (checked 6 October).
Not if you need them now. UK clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, a month before Black Friday, and riding without decent lights is not worth the saving. Buy what you need now, then pick up a spare or a backup set on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Not consistently. Cyber Monday often brings a second wave of accessory and tech offers, so if the light you want wasn’t discounted on Friday, check again on Monday 30 November.
Yes. Outgoing colours are often reduced. Check it carries EN 1078, look for MIPS or a similar system, and buy the size that fits.
Usually, but modestly. In 2025 the Garmin Edge 840 sold for £309.99 at Sigma Sports over Cyber Monday (past price). Compare today’s price with the lowest price we have tracked before you buy, and consider last year’s model, which is often the bigger saving.
They can be, and the saving in pounds is often large. In 2025 Hunt offered up to 40% off wheels early (past). Check the freehub, brake and axle standards match your bike before you buy, because a cheap wheelset that doesn’t fit is no saving.
